Halloween season is about to get a lot scarier in Southeast Michigan, as Blake Farms’ Haunted Attractions return next week for another season of spooky thrills.
Starting September 12, visitors can head to Blake’s Big Apple in Armada for a night featuring a haunted hayride, zombie paintball, a 3-story haunted barn and the more family-friendly Spookyland experience.
The haunted attractions will run throughout September and October, giving those looking for a fright several opportunities to visit before Halloween.
For anyone near Detroit looking for a Halloween outing, Blake Farms is turning its Big Apple location into a full evening of haunted attractions, eerie woods and zombie encounters.
When does the Haunted Big Apple event at Blake Farms start?
Blake Farms’ Haunted Attractions open September 12, 2026, at Blake’s Big Apple in Armada, located at 71485 North Avenue. The season runs through November 1, with attractions operating on Fridays and Saturdays in September and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October.
The attraction ticket booth is listed as operating from 6pm to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, with Sunday hours from 6pm to 10pm beginning October 4th. The attractions themselves begin after sunset, so visitors should plan their arrival accordingly.
There is also a special opening-night deal: the Haunted Hayride is available for $15 on September 12th, compared with its regular $28.95 price. Blake Farms also lists a $45 Combo #3 deal valid throughout September and on October 4th.

What to expect if you’re thinking about going
There are four different haunted attractions to choose from, meaning visitors can build their night around the type of scare they want. The Haunted Hayride takes guests through the darkness of haunted woods, complete with creepy sounds, creatures and unexpected scares, while the 3-Story Haunted Barn sends visitors through eerie hallways, rooms and immersive sets.
For something more action-oriented, Zombie Paintball puts visitors in a battle against hordes of the undead, with the experience lasting roughly 20 minutes. The Haunted Hayride typically lasts around 30 minutes and includes a quick stop for cider and a cider mill donut.
Those looking for something less intense can opt for Spookyland, a family-friendly experience featuring attractions including an animal petting farm, 3D Barn, Corn Maze and inflatables.
Blake Farms also recommends arriving early, particularly on busy nights, since wait times can be longest later in the evening. Fridays are generally less busy than Saturdays, according to the farm.
