This brewery serves up craft beer, craft coffee, and New Haven style pizza all in one spot!
All the way from Cleveland, owners Brent Zimmerman and Eric Anderson are brought their popular beer, coffee, and pizza chain to Brush Park earlier this spring. The expansive brewery, called Saucy Brew Works, spans 5,700 square-feet, the new space will offer vast indoor and outdoor seating big enough to ensure guests can safely enjoy themselves.
Saucy is committed to using BrauKon, an entirely stainless steel brand of German brewing equipment, but their craft creations cover a range of American and German beer styles in addition to ‘experimental yeast’ and ‘wild type’ brews. Staples include the hazy imperial IPA “Love You, Bye,” the Kölsh style golden ale “Habituale,” and “JuicyAsap”, an American IPA. Even the biggest beer lover will be spoiled to choice with the 15 to 20 craft beers on top daily. They also serve baked chicken wings, sandwiches, and of course, their crispy New Haven style pizzas (called apizzas) in a wide range of flavors, including the popular Nashville hot chicken.
Saucy Coffee, the brewery’s dedicated coffeehouse, incorporates flavors from their brews into their coffee selections. For example, because of the already rich flavors found in stout beers, Saucy Brew Works has incorporated stouts like “Modern Crimes”, a toasted coconut porter, into non-alcoholic (but definitely caffeinated) specialty drinks. They also offer classic coffee and espresso drinks, like their single-origin house roast, pour overs, and lattes. Saucy Coffee is open daily from 7am to 4pm, while the kitchen opens at 11am.
Saucy Brew Works also offers specials like BOGO pizza on Mondays, half-off wings on Wednesdays, and Happy hour with $4 drafts from 3:30pm to 5:30pm every weekday.
Find it at 2671 John R St, Detroit, MI 48201.
