The War Memorial: A charming gem on the shores of Lake St. Clair
Located on the grounds of the historic Alger Estate, the charming War Memorial was built in 1910 in Italian Renaissance-style architecture. It was first the estate of the Alger family, then in the 1930s used as an art branch of the Detroit Institute of Arts and eventually in 1949, following the end of WWII, it was converted into a war memorial, dedicated to the victims of the war. Today, it also serves as a venue for concerts, wedding and special occasions, due to its charm and green gardens overlooking Lake St. Clair, making it the perfect setting for intimate and moving Candlelight concerts.
Jimmy John’s Field: Home to four baseball teams
The Candlelight concert series is returning to Macomb County, bringing its popular Queen tribute to Jimmy John’s Field—this time set at one of the ballpark’s ends for a unique open-air experience. After last year’s concert success, fans can look forward to another memorable night as a string quartet performs Queen’s iconic songs surrounded by a sea of candlelight. With the special setting and last year’s buzz, it’s a rare chance to catch this blend of classic rock and classical music in such an atmospheric venue.

The popular concert series always chooses the best venues in the city to dazzle its guests and this season, it is no different.
Note: For the safety of our audience, all of the candlelight will be provided through flameless candles.
