Enter Kura, who’s serving up rotating nigiri in Troy with safety measures in mind for its grand opening. At 25% percent capacity and plexiglass between booths, you can safely enjoy your new favorite sushi place.
If you’ve never tried the conveyor belt sushi experience before, you may be wondering what the hype is all about. A lot of Asian cuisine offers interactive dining experiences we don’t see otherwise. Think of Hot Pot where you cook your own meat and veggies. The experience is different, more fun, and the food tastes delicious. It’s the same fun and different type of meal experience that conveyer belt sushi offers.
Nigiri rolls topped with fresh mackerel, salmon, or tuna revolve in front of you, and you get to pick out what you want to eat and how much. If you want to order a speciality ramen, you can choose from the menu, and it will come flying down its own separate belt, or “sushi highway”, delivered to you personally. After each plate, you place it into the convenient dish slot that tallies up your plates to give you your total at the end. The more plates you have, the more points you get as well, where points are rewarded with mini anime scenes playing in front of you, plus the chance to win small prizes. What could be more fun?
Kura Sushi will be open from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, so sit back and let the sushi come to you.
