Detroit’s first-ever Hot Sauce Festival is going to take place this summer, and it sounds like the can’t-miss event of the year!
The new event will have patrons sample dozens of artisan hot sauces, participate in spice tolerance challenges, play games, enjoy live entertainment, and join hands-on classes!
When and where is the Detroit Hot Sauce Festival going to be?
The Detroit Hot Sauce Festival will be a two-day event set on Saturday, August 1st, and Sunday, 2nd, at the Masonic Temple.
Day 1 of the event will run from 10 am until 7 pm, and Day 2 will run from 10 am until 5 pm.

How much will it cost to visit the festival?
The Detroit Hot Sauce Festival will have three separate ticket options:
- General admission 2-day pass – $20
- Silver Package – $40
- Includes a special edition commemorative tote bag full of goodies.
- Gold VIP Package – $80
- Includes a special edition commemorative tote bag full of goodies + a limited edition T-shirt exclusively for Gold VIP ticket holders.
- Children 10 and under are free.
Included in general admission will be access to the festival, which will include:
- Classes
- Several spicy vendors
- Food trucks
- Spicy food eating contests
- Unlimited hot sauce sampling
- Access to 2 full bars
- Live entertainment

General admission tickets can be purchased directly from the festival’s website, but to purchase the Silver or Gold ticket package, you’ll need to do the following:
- Purchase a General Admission ticket from the festival’s site, and be sure to save your order number.
- Use the Venmo link on the festival’s website to send the remaining balance for the ticket package you would like. If you wanted a Silver upgrade, send $20; if you wanted a Gold upgrade, send $60.
- When making this Venmo transfer, you must include your order number in the transfer’s caption.
