Stay safe and take extra precautions this weekend!
It may be just “February Things” in Detroit with this weather, but that doesn’t make it any easier year after year. Freezing cold temperatures are back in Detroit, so bundle up.

The cold will persist all throughout the weekend, carrying over into next week with possible chances of snow. The cold will be dry and frigid, with no strong winds blowing, so at least there’s a bright side. Temperatures will be in the 20s during the week and will drop in the mornings to single digits.
The weekend is when things get really frosty. High temperatures won’t break 19 degrees, with harsh single digit mornings and evenings. The good news is that Detroit can expect to see a break from the frigid cold by mid next week. The Pope Francis Center in Detroit will be opening up a warming center to help unhoused residents stay safe during this cold break.
