In honor of Michigan being a top market for Labatt’s beer this year, the Canadian beer business has decided to treat Detroiters to a night of fun with a free ice skating session at Campus Martius Park’s downtown ice rink for today only! The event will only be for 21+ adults as the free event will be presented completely by the beer brand Labatt, including free ice skate rental (on a first come first serve basis), free skating time, and of course a series of branded merch and swag to take home and rep the Labatt logo.
Everything you need to know about “Labatt on Ice”
The event, which people are referring to as “Labatt on Ice”, will only take in the first 300 attendees, so as stated above, the event will be first come first serve, meaning that the earlier you can go the better your chances are of being able to participate! The event will be promptly at 6 pm and run until 9 pm tonight, Thursday, December 14th at the rink at Campus Martius Park, but as there will likely be a lot of people interested in attending we highly suggest venturing downtown on the early side to reserve your spot in line. Also, as this event is 21+ it will be operated as if it were a standard bar, which means that you CAN NOT forget to bring your ID with you to the event, or you will be turned away and barred from entering.
Another thing to note is that this a one-time-only event, meaning that there are not currently any other “Labatt on Ice” or similar 21+ skate nights currently planned to take place here in Detroit for the immediate future. This means that if you want to partake in the fun, you better show up early to secure your spot so that you don’t miss out!
