The New York Times (NYT), aside from being one of the top news sources in the world for things like politics, sports, and pop culture, is famous for having one of the most thorough and reputable food critics in the nation!
So, naturally, when the NYT released its 2024 list of 50 Best Restaurants in America, any new restaurant featured on the list gets suddenly thrust into the national spotlight.
This is exactly what happened with Noori Pocha in Clason, Michigan!
What Detroit Area restaurant was ranked by the New York Times?
As mentioned above, Noori Pocha in Clawson is the only restaurant in Michigan featured on the New York Times 2024 Best Restaurants in America list!
If you haven’t heard of Noori Pocha yet, this is your sign to check it out!
This Detroit area dining destination features authentic South Korean recipes such as bulgogi, chicken buldak, jokbal, and naturally Korean fried chicken.
The New York Times credits the owner, In Yeol Kwon, his sister Nali, and chef Bak Sanghwan, each for the restaurant’s success.
Highlighting its incredibly ‘transporting’ feel (as if you’ve walked directly into Seoul), incredible menu, and fun atmosphere, which includes K-Pop and an abundance of soju, are all major factors in what makes this spot stand out!
