Thanksgiving is coming up fast, but with the hustle and bustle of heading into the holiday season, maybe you’re looking for something different for your Thanksgiving Day plans. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with our list of Detroit’s best options for dine-in or takeout this Thanksgiving:
1. Mario’s Restaurant
To Go: A local Italian favorite, Mario’s Restaurant is offering a special this Thanksgiving with a pick-up meal with all the classic fixings to feed a group of 6-8 people for a total of $165 with an option to add sides for just $6 per serving.
However, if instead of a standard turkey, you can level up your Thanksgiving day feast and opt for their “Gourmet Turducken” package for $200 that feeds a group of up to 12 people!

2. Oak & Reel
To Go: On the high-end side of Detroit’s restaurant scene, Oak & Reel offers an incredible quality pick-up Thanksgiving meal package that will be prepared by the staff of Michelin-recognized chef, Jared Gadbaw.
There is a half-turkey option meant to feed groups of 4-6 for a total of $195 and a whole-turkey option meant for groups of 8-12 which goes for $385.
There is also the option to add dessert and/or paired wines to the order for an added cost.

3. Flowers of Vietnam
To Go: If you want to venture off the beaten path this Thanksgiving and try something a little different for this year’s feast, then Flowers of Vietnam is a great option! With its Vietnam-inspired take on Thanksgiving classics, this restaurant is offering a Thanksgiving package for 4-6 people for a total of $275.

4. Pietrzyk Pierogi
To Go: A traditional staple amongst the local Polish population of the Detroit area, these Thanksgiving pierogi by Pietrzyk Pierogi are stuffed with all the classic flavors of a Thanksgiving meal!
You can order them in-store or online for a total of $25 per dozen, but because they only make a limited amount, the sooner you can pick yours up the better!
The owner, Erica Pietrzyk, has even been quoted saying there’s no guarantee they’ll be any more available by the week of Thanksgiving.

5. Madam
Dine-In: If you prefer to go out on Thanksgiving to avoid having to clean up after your festive feast, the staff over at Madam in Birmingham will welcome you like you’re family!
They host their annual Thanksgiving Day “Grand Buffet” for a total of $95 per adult and $45 per child between the ages of 3 and 10 (children under 3 are free).
The buffet includes all the classic fixings as well as a selection of wines and beers, and a specialty cocktail crafted specifically for the occasion.
