Spring is finally here, and it doesn’t get more seasonal than taking a day trip to a flower festival for photos and a hand-picked bouquet.
Fortunately for Detroiters, there’s no longer a need to travel all the way to Holland (Holland, Michigan, that is) for that authentic spring-time experience…
Now, just under an hour away from Detroit, Blake’s Farm in Armada is hosting its second-ever ‘In Bloom’ flower festival this spring, which will have more than 100,000 blooming U-Pick tulips.
When is Blake’s Farm’s ‘In Bloom’ flower festival?
Because Mother Nature hasn’t exactly been embracing the transition from winter to spring like most of us have, the tulips at Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill are requiring a bit of time to ensure they develop through their blooming process.
As a result of the weather playing such a critical role in the flowers’ development, the exact dates of the flower festival cannot be confirmed until just a week or two out.
This means that the current estimated dates of the flower festival are potentially from April 18th to May 15th.
