Metro Detroit’s Choco Town Experience Is In Town Until June

A real-life village filled with chocolate and sweets has opened its decadent gates in Metro Detroit—and we couldn’t be more thrilled! This magical, multi-sensory experience made a stop in Cambridge, and now it has opened in Troy, but only for a limited time!

If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into a sugary wonderland and sampling an assortment of chocolates, you’re in for a treat!

Be prepared to be swept away by this delightful chocolate village. Take it from us—15,000 square feet of the Oakland Mall has been completely transformed into a fantasy world for this Fever Original event with creative direction and design by Bombas & Parr.

Start your journey by making your way to Choco Town’s Main Town Square and get ready to explore different neighborhoods in this sweet village. On Bon Bon Boulevard, stop by Choco Sons Butcher Shop for some delicious salami-shaped chocolate.

Just sayin’, we could spend all day on Bon Bon Boulevard … 🍫🪩

Then head to the town’s Cotton Candy Salon for some gossip and photo ops, venture to the Gummy Bear Spa for Hug Therapy and some Albanese gummies, and dance the night away in the disco!

If you can peel yourself away from Bon Bon Boulevard, there are four other neighborhoods to explore, including Downtown with a rad arcade the whole family will love and a Candy Kaleidoscope photo op moment—one of our favorite parts of the experience.

Be sure to venture to Edge O’ Town, where you’ll find a non-spooky Graveyard, a fridge memory game, and a super cool Rain Room with incredible sound effects.

And, of course, if you’re a kid or one at heart, then you must jump in the ball pit in the Hyper Sweet Funhouse zone!

While the experience is filled-to-the-brim with Insta-worthy moments, you’ll be able to engage all of your senses, including our favorite—your taste buds, as chocolate samples are plentiful at 7 tasting stations throughout the entire experience! Guests can indulge in at least 16 chocolate samples throughout, as well as a packet of gummies from Albanese Candies at the Gummy Bear Spa.

While we loved everything we tried, if you love savory bites, then you have to try the chocolates with Himalayan or smoked salt on Bon Bon Boulevard. How to get to Choco Town Troy! 

Location: The marvelous chocolate village of Choco Town is located in the Oakland Mall, 412 W. 14 Mile Road, Troy, MI 48083, on the opposite side of the At Home store! Enter the parking lot off John R. Road, on the North East side of the mall. You can also enter through the mall if needed; there’s an entrance right next to the A&W and Hobby Lobby!
