Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio is known for revolutionizing art history with his use of dramatic lighting and uniquely realistic depictions of human figures, which would ultimately define the Baroque style and significantly influence generations of artists.
Today, there are roughly 70 Caravaggio works generally accepted as authentic worldwide, and 25 of them will be on display at the Detroit Institute of Arts!

Reservations can be made online in advance to ensure your trip to the museum goes as smoothly as possible.
